  1. General Admission Requirements
  2. A senior secondary school certificate (SSCE), (WAEC or NECO) or GCE O’ level with passé in five subjects including English language, three of which must be at credit at the same sitting of four credits at two sittings. Two of the credits must be relevant to the course the candidate wishes to offer credit/merits in English language and/or mathematics may be required in some courses.
  3. A Grade II Teacher Certificate (TC II) with credits or merit in three subjects, two of which must be relevant to the course the candidate wishes to offer. Credit/merit in English language and/or Mathematics may be required in some courses.
  4. For candidates wishing to offer courses in vocational and technical education, RSA or city and guilds intermediate certificate with the fedral craft training center with credit/merit in at least four subjects are acceptable or a NABTEB certificate.
  5. Associate ship certificate in education awarded by an approved institution in Nigeria or abroad, is also an acceptable qualification.
  6. Successful candidates in the Pre-NCE final examinations or interim joint matriculation board (IJMB) who took and passed in a selection examination organized by an accredited body would be qualified for admission.
  7. All candidates wishing to be considered for admission must enroll for and write the selection examination organized by an accredited body such as JAMB.
  8. It should be noted that some colleges may in addition to all above, administer their own elimination tests and/or interviews for some courses. This is legitimate.
  9. Additional Admission Requirements

To qualify for entry into the integrated science programme a candidate must satisfy the general admission requirements, which include a pass in mathematics and English language. For candidates with Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or GCE O’ level, the credit passes must at least be at one subject in any two of the following groups:

  1. Biology/Health science
  2. Physics
  3. Chemistry
  4. General science/integrated science
  5. Agricultural science
  6. Graduation Requirements
  7. Integrated science -36 credits ( single major)

Second teaching subject – 36/38 credits

Education – 36 credits

General science -18 credits

Teaching practice – 06 credits

  1. Teaching Practice

All students must successfully complete a 12 week teaching practice before graduation. Teaching practice earns 6 credits under education 324.

  1. Project

A final year project is to be written in either integrated science or second teaching subject. The grade for the project is to be credited to education 323, it carried 2 credits.
